The Stage
The Stage at Sistahs Steppin' in Pride is a venue for high-energy, community-based artists, local talent, interactive entertainment and cultural performances. Since the beginning, we've showcased an array of amateur and professional artists that represent the kaleidoscope of folks who make up our community. Past performances gracing our stage include bands, solo musicians, comedians, DJ dance music, dance companies, cabaret, drag, drumming, and martial arts. All of the artists generously donate their time and talent to support our heart mission to celebrate diversity and foster equality. Our priority on the stage, in the festival, and at the march, is to provide a dynamic and welcoming space for participants of all sexualities, genders, races, ages, ethnicities, sizes, economic backgrounds, and physical abilities. We strive to create a place that will bring together our UTs (under-thirties), our elders, our children, and all the queer women in between. The Stage at Sistahs Steppin' in Pride Dyke March & Festival is a place where political and social change can be joyfully, powerfully, and exuberantly expressed and inspired. If you'd like to help with this year's stage production, please contact Amelia Mae Paradise: amelia@sistahssteppin.org
