Founded in 2002, Sistahs Steppin’ in Pride is the premiere festival serving the S.F. East Bay’s lesbian, queer and bisexual women’s communities. The march and festival is held each year at Lake Merritt in Oakland, California--home to more lesbians per capita than any other big city in the nation.

Over the past 6 years, we have grown from a march with several hundred participants to over 2000 women attending multiple events during our weekend of festivities which include the 2008 East Bay Dyke March & Festival, an Afterparty and a Sunday brunch.
